Crate 61 soap dishes are made with love in Ancaster, Ontario using Canadian western red cedar. This wood is predominantly indigenous to B.C and is known for its naturally occurring oils which lend resistance to water and rot. Our dishes are stained using all natural tung oil which is a fantastic plant based sealer that penetrates into the woods pores and enhances the durability, water resistance and the natural red colour of the wood itself.
